One of my absolute favorites from the red carpet last night! Can you say absolutely divine? Yes, say it with me.... divine! But really, what other word goes with Cate Blanchett? Who was your favorite red carpet lady?
"In our kind of work, whether we're actors or writers, the important thing is not fame or glory, not what I used to dream about, but learning how to endure...If I have faith it doesn't hurt so much, and when I think of my calling I'm no longer afraid of life."
I may have mentioned before that my fiance and I have unusual days off, Tuesday and Wednesday. On the upside, it makes for less crowded bars and restaurants, which we love! We went to The Clover Club last night for a few cocktails with my future sister-in-law, and we sat cozy by the fire place for a few hours. Not only do they have great cocktails like the Daisy De Santiago, but we had great crisps served with truffle creme fraiche! Can you say yummm-a-lish!
Recently my fiance and I went to our friend's event in Brooklyn, celebrating her recent win of the title "Next Big Small Brand!" Pretty awesome. Her cookies are deliciously amazing! As I've mentioned before, at our wedding this summer, we're having a cookie table in addition to our dessert. I think her cookies will make a lovely addition to our table, don't you think? Order Sweet Loren's for your next party or just because :-)
Yes, it's that time again! It's time for a Funny....Sheesh Production! I'm happy to report that I'll be performing in "How to Fold a Map?" this March 8th-13th. You should come check it out! Order your tickets here. It's "a high-speed misguided journey into worlds know and unknown. a myriad of colorful characters meander through three universes: home, work, and surreal fantasy. Tables are turned, nightmares become reality, automated voices animate and soap stars save the planet in this warped program of 20 micro stories, (HTFM) is an electric smorgasbord of depraved fun from the earth to the moon."
You may also remember the hilarious multi-award winning play "Love Me." Whelp, "Love Me" is going to be published in "Plays and Playwrights 2011." How cool is that? Tre cool, that's how cool.
Well hello there friend! It's been a long time. I'm a bad girl. I've been away mostly due to rehearsals and wedding planning! What you see above is a color palette that my awesome long time friend, Vanessa, created for our wedding invitations. Vanessa is an amazing artist and graphic designer based in Pittsburgh, Pa (our home town woot woot!) It's a bit of a secret of exactly what we have up our sleeves, but I will say for now that it is definitely not traditional and reflects who we are as a couple. I like to call our wedding style "Rustic Brooklyn Chic" :-) I'm so excited and can't wait to see Vanessa's final product! What fun have you been up to since I've been on hiatus?
