Summer Dreams

I'm loving these retro inspired bathing suits, and sexy backs. Oh how I wish these cold winter days were gone! I know, I wanted winter early, BUT ONLY FOR THE HOLIDAYS I SWEAR! Even though our wedding is still 160 odd days away, I'm dreaming of myself in one (or two) of these amazing bathing suits for our honeymoon. Do you think if I count sheep it will come any sooner?? Or maybe wish upon a star? Maybe? I know it's become a reoccurring word, but forgive me.... sigh!

Oh, I want....

Can't you just imagine being fabulous in these fur coats? Going to the theatre, a sophisticated dinner, or hell every freaking day! Yes, I know you can. I can too!

Gettin' Old

I have the best girlfriends and husband-to-be a gal could ask for. They made my birthday one of the most memorable yet! Friday night we had a lovely meal in Soho at Peasant. I had the mushroom gnocchi, and more cheese than should be legally allowed. And the ladies were so sweet and surprised me with a cake at the end of the meal! We then departed for a night of dancing in the Lower East Side. Not a shabby way to spend a Friday night; dinner, dancing, and my bestest buds! The following day, my actual birthday, my fiance took me to quite literally the most amazing meal of my life hands down. I know, bold statement! But 100% true. We were at dinner from 5:30-10:30, and devoured everything from the atmosphere, the service, to the absolutely delicious tasting menu at Eleven Madison Park. I urge you, if you have a special occasion to celebrate, make a reservation at EMP! It's a four star restaurant, and three time James Beard winner, and will be one of the most delightful dining experiences you'll have! I can't say enough about this meal. The general manager even took us into the kitchen to observe everyone in action. Behind a small standing table out of the way of the hussle and bussle of the kitchen, they served us cocktails complete with liquid nitrogen sorbet! Le sigh. The perfect weekend! Thank you my loves!! xoxo

The Business of Being Born

I never really thought about having babies any other way than in a hospital. Have you? Sure, you've heard of the occasional crunchy granola woman, who's a friend of a friend, who had her baby at home in a baby pool. Whelp, my fiance and I recently watched the documentary "The Business of Being Born," and it really brought to light the benefits of having a midwife, which I never really considered. (Oh yeah, and Ricki Lake is in the film) Babies still being a good 4 years away, I'm not a 100% sure of what sort of birthing plan I will want when the day comes, but it certainly raises some questions to think about! Check out the trailer here.

BLACK SWAN - Official HD trailer

This past week I FINALLY was able to see "Black Swan." My fiance and I promised we'd wait to see it with each other and I couldn't believe it took us so long for our schedules to align. I throughly enjoyed the film, but even more so after the film was over and had time to think about it. I especially enjoyed watching Natalie and Darren's interview on Charlie Rose. The interview brought to light some of the choices made in the film, and their opinions on the dance world. I love watching interviews with Natalie Portman and hearing what she has to say about her acting process and experience. She's been in the film industry for 18 years, and she's only 28! Get it girl. Get it.

Watch Charlie Rose interview here.

Happy New Year!

Hello my pets! (phrase totally not utilized enough) I've been a rather lazy larry every since Christmas Eve hit. And sshhhh, but it's been AMAZING! The R&R was exactly what the doctor ordered to make me bright eyed and bushy tailed for the New Year. Some rather exciting things happened during the last couple of weeks. Not just one but TWO couples, who are my very dear friends from my Penn State years, got engaged!! I'm so happy and excited for Kaite, Pat, Adrienne, and Jason. I think 2011 is shaping up to be a pretty thrilling year already. It's exciting to think of the possibilities that 2011 holds, aaaand it's my last year as a Klueber! What plans do you have for 2011?
