I'm in love with these beautifully elegant hairpins! Don't you just love them? Okay, well, I'm a tad partial because my amazingly crafty, Martha Stewart-like friend Amanda fashioned them for the bridal party this past weekend. I think they look so classy, and add just a hint of fabulous to any look! I'll keep you posted on her upcoming etsy website! In the mean time, if you're interested in ordering hairpins for your special occasion feel free to leave a comment below and I'll have Amanda get in touch with you!
Spotted this cute wedding on 100 layer cake. I love love love the idea of hankies for the more emotional guests. My future sister-in-law's wedding was this past weekend and I was a blubbering crying fool all weekend! Really could have used that basket of hankies this weekend!

I know it's not new, and I'm sure you've all known about the Dove Real Beauty Campaign for years now, but recently it struck a chord. For the past several months I've been working very hard at being extremely mindful of what I put in my body, and trying to lead a healthier lifestyle that includes eating right and working out. And recently a few folks have said some not so kind words about how I'm too thin and need to gain weight, which I found to be very hurtful because essentially it felt as if they were saying I don't look nice. I love everything that the Dove real beauty campaign stands for and the message it sends to women everywhere that you should be proud of who you are and being in your own skin! Not sure why other women feel the need to pit themselves against other women, or put others down. We should continue to celebrate each other's differences and individual beauty! So, no matter your size, color, or shape I hope you feel beautiful today, because you are an amazingly gorgeous person! You sexy woman you! xoxo! Have a beautiful day! I hope you go out of your way to tell another woman how amazing she looks today. Spread the love.

I was reading the blog say YES! to Hoboken recently and saw these beautiful wild flower arrangements. She was having a dinner party for some friends and arranged these herself! Aren't they so cute? I'm thinking of going to the flower market the day before my wedding and doing similar flower arrangements. Sort of an off the cuff and rustic vibe. What do you think?

I'm not sure if it's normal and/or healthy behavior to have intense obsessions for weeks at a time, and never fully get over them until you obtain what you want. Yeah, I didn't think so either, but the sad truth is I do. Hi, I'm Kaira and I'm an obsession-o-holic. This time around it's Alice + Olivia dresses. Maybe it has something to do with watching far too much Rachel Zoe in the past couple weeks, but I'm obsessed with owning one of these above dresses. Okay, maybe all of them. I hate to actually say these words, but doesn't the Organza look so Carrie Bradshaw? I'm especially smitten with the Marianna Embellished Bustier! Sigh. Momma wants!

Looks like NFL fans now have an extra special reason to go to Broadway this fall with the new play "Lombardi" set to open October 21st at the Circle in the Square Theatre. Vince Lombardi is going to be played by the memorable Dan Lauria, best known for his role on "The Wonder Years." I mean, "Kevin's Dad" and football, it's kind of a killer combo for a show, especially if you want your football loving men to join you for an evening at the theatre. Producers are hopeful it will do well with the aid of the NFL advertising and large viewing audience. Would you go see it?

I used to be obsessed with the idea of getting married in Italy, but when my fiance and I thought about the logistics of actually making it happen, it seemed a bit out of reach. I wish I would have known about Chic Weddings when we first started planning! They are destination wedding planners, how cool is that? Aren't these pictures just beautiful. Sigh.

A very good friend of mine, Sarah, invited me to go see the new Katie Holmes movie "The Romantics" last night at the Regal in Union Square, with a special talk back with Katie Holmes, author and director, Galt Niederhoffer, and producer, Ron Stein (Sarah's cousin woot woot.) I really enjoyed the evening, and the film, especially the sound track! Check out the trailer above! It might be playing in a theatre near you!

Doesn't this wedding look so cute, fun, and casual? I definitely think casual is the way to go for a wedding, seems folks have more fun being in a relaxed environment, don't you think? I think it's exactly the vibe we hope to establish at our wedding. I especially love her red, sexy shoes. I'm a shoe woman, I can't help it! Tre cute!

What happens when Mario Batali, Lidia Matticchio, and Joe Batianich get together for a project? EATALY! My friend Amanda describes what she hopes it might be, "it's an italian eats theme park with lots of wine!" Well, not quite, but it is pretty superb. It's over 50,000 square feet; including everything from a yummy italian market, restaurants, italian cookware and books, to gelato! In November they plan to open a roof top beer garden. My fiance was a peach and took me last night after work! So yums! Can't wait to go back and try out the roof garden. Read more about Eataly here!

A friend of mine is a sweater designer for Anne Taylor Loft, and I LOVE the way they seem to have shifted gears in the last few years to create clothing that appeals to a young, fashionable client. I really like this bow sweater, as well as the short sleeve popcorn cardigan, and the asymmetrical trim cardigan. Check out what's new for fall here.

Hi loves! Last names. It's been an interesting topic of conversation lately with my friend Lizzie, who is getting married next year, and myself. You want to take your husband to be's last name because you're becoming a family, you want your future children to have the same last name as you, and probably the most important reason for me, it means a lot to him. Butttt what does that mean for you professionally, and this name you've built for youself? Do you keep your last name? Hyphenate? Legally change your name, but continue to use your maiden name for work? Or, the option I've been leaning towards as of late, change your name legally and make your maiden name your middle name. What are your thoughts? Suggestions? What did you do?

Ah,I admit it! I watch Real House Wives of NYC! I can't help it, it's my guilty pleasure. I found out on Prez Hilton that Bethenny Frankel is going to sit next season out. Sad. On the upside, there will be a season two of her own show! yay! Okay, now we're going to pretend this post never happened....

I have another Etsy find for you! I absolutely adore these beautiful necklaces from Cindy at Edor. I love how feminine and delicate they are, don't you agree?! I couldn't help myself, I had to buy a few! I'm in love with the little note. I'm thinking it might be the perfect way to jazz up and style up your fall style!
