Secret Hiding Place

I'm mildly obsessed with this cute little secret passage way I spotted on You Are My Fave. Can you imagine having this in your apartment or house as a kid and the cool adventures you would have? You'd be the coolest kid on the block! I think my place needs some decorating TLC. As cool as a secret passage way would be I don't think it would quite work out in our place. Any suggestions? I was thinking a cool wall of interesting mirrors. Do you have any home make overs that went smashingly? Prey tell!

It's a Comedy

I'm so happy to report that I will be playing the part of Susan and Kate in the play "Love, Me" by Jason Grossman. I have been itching to work on a new play, and I'm super excited to get started! Check out the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity website, and hopefully you can come see one of our shows! Check it out here.

New Theatre, I can Hardly contain myself!

I may have made comments in the past about my less than enthusiastic view on star studded theatre, which leaves even fewer opportunities for New York City actors trying to climb the ranks, but.... Denzel is one of those exceptions. I am dying to go to "Fences" on Broadway! Playwright August Wilson is one of my absolute favorites, famed for his Pulitzer prize winning series called The Pittsburgh Cycle. It's also a bit more interesting reading about a place you're familiar with; I was born and raised in the steal city, woot woot! I'm hoping I can nab tickets to this limited 13 week engagement! James Earl Jones originally played the role of Troy on Broadway, and I'm beyond excited to see what Denzel Washington brings to the character. Is there a Broadway play you're just dying to see?

Cute... and kind of creepy

I stumbled across this invite a few months ago on Cup of Jo, and recently saw it again, and thought it was too funny not to share. I love it when people do unique and modern invites for their weddings, instead of the same stuffy and boring traditional ones. And this one is definitely unique to the couple. The designer of the invite created a chronological representation of their aging faces 10, 20, 30, and 40 years into the future. Don't you wonder what you'll look like 40 years into the future! On second thought... maybe not!

What's too much?

Hi lovies! Sorry it's been so long! I return to you with this very important question, "What is too much to spend on a pair of shoes?" I would like to say nothing, but alas, I know this is not true. I am, yet again, obsessing over a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, and I'm trying to find an excuse to treat myself. Unfortunately it seems weddings, birthdays, and other such occasions have been popping up left and right, and it feels wrong to buy myself a present when I have so many others to buy for. Hoping to nail a gig soon, so I have an excuse to treat myself! I joke with my friend Rebecca, such shoes are your "taxi shoes." Only to be worn in a taxi of course! :-) What do you think? What's too much?

Fluff Part Deux

I can't seem to keep myself from the same story line. Young 20 or 30 something woman, living in New York City, trying to figure out her life, with the frequent and delicious name dropping of fun New York establishments. It's a standard trap I fall into when looking for a good commuting book. But they're so darn fun! Can you blame me? I devoured it in mere two days. What kinds of fluff have you been into lately?

I can't help it! I'm a sucker for Vogue! Sometimes after a long day you just need fluff. It makes you feel better, and you can forget the day's drama with a cup of hot tea and your couch. I couldn't help myself, I put The September Issue on my netflix and devoured it on my instant queue. Of course sans the boyfriend, because we all know they won't sit around to watch a fashion movie. Anna Wintour is a bit creepy and weird, but in the expected creepy and weird way one must be in order to be the editor in chief of said fashion magazine. I love Grace Coddington, the creative director! So sweet and cute, everything Anna isn't. I kind of want to be her friend. Possible? I think so too. I give it 4 out of 5 stars on the Klueber rating scale. What movies have you gobbled up recently?
